Brenham, Texas, [January 26, 2018] – The KALLISTA Grid sink faucet, recent winner of Best in Show at KBIS, is the very first of its kind within the vast Kohler family. The optimization of multiple technologies, including those of REM Surface Engineering, contributed to the success of the additive manufactured faucet.
KALLISTA’s design and production team worked to optimize the part production with 3rd Dimension Industrial 3D Printing, a high-quality production metal manufacturer specializing in 3D direct metal printing based in Indianapolis. The engineering team at 3rd Dimension engineered the unique design into a single-build part ideal for metal 3D printing with a focus on the integrated channels for the water. REM contributed the surface finish to the design which resulted in a novel, winning sink.
